What is a Drag Mother?
The skills above can be easily learned and acquired if you have a drag mother. A drag mother is a more experienced queen who is willing to be your mentor. She teaches you everything there is to know -- from makeup up to booking a gig. She considers you her "drag daughter."
Aside from being your mentor, your drag mother can also serve as your protector from queens who might want to bully you.

The drag community is as colorful as their lingo. While some of the words and phrases date back to the 80s, others have just been introduced in recent years.

What is Tucking? What is Padding?
Tucking is what you do to hide your manly bulge. Queens usually use a duct tape to "seal" their bulge so it leaves a flat surface. Here's how to tuck for beginners.
Padding, on the other hand, is what you do to give your body a womanly shape. Pads, which are made from foam and other similar materials, are placed on the hips and butt to give you curves like a woman.
The video below shows Ms. Alaska Thunderfvck, one of the most popular young queens of today. Her padding is a mess, something that you shouldn't do.
On Your Drag Name
There's thousands of possible drag names to use. Some queens use seemingly vulgar word in the cases of Detox Icunt, Alaska Thunderfvck, and Queen Bee Ho. Others use feminine name such as April Carrion and Gia Gunn. Some prefer food-related names such as Helga Lettuce and Milk.
Whatever you choose, make sure that you stand out. Remember, you have to be memorable.
